Army day 2021 PM Narendra Modi Friday greeted soldiers

Taking to microblogging site Twitter, Modi said that warriors have made India glad as he wished them.
Heartiest congrats to the powerful troopers of the nation and their families on Army Day who are shielding mother India. Our military is solid, gallant and decided, which has consistently made the nation glad. I salute the Indian Army for all the comrades,” the Prime Minister Tweeted in Hindi.

On this day in 1949, the Indian Army got its first boss. Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over as the reins of the equipped power as first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India.
