This virus spreads very fast. This virus is more effective on Poultry birds like chicken and turkey. Spreads quickly in peacocks and ducks. In humans, the bird flu virus enters the eye, nose and mouth.

Bird flu first arrived in Hong Kong in 1997. In Hong Kong, 18 people were infected with the virus and 6 of them died.
What are the symptoms of Bird flu?
Bird flu symptoms look like common flu symptoms. There may be fever, complaint of restlessness, cough, sore throat and burning sensation due to bird flu. Complaints of muscle aches, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain, headache, joint pain, fatigue, running nose may also be symptoms.

How does Bird flu spread?
Migratory birds visit India in winter every year and some of them carry the H5N1 virus. Due to this Poultry is chicken, turkey bird and spreads in it. Then pigs, horses, cats, dogs also get this virus.
Bird flu spreads to humans only through birds. Some birds like duck, geese, Influenza virus are always present inside them. They have the flu inside them, but they themselves do not have this disease.
But if someone comes in contact with the water coming out of their feces, saliva, eyes, then he gets bird flu.
Even eating raw and undercooked cock and eggs can cause bird flu in humans.
Taking care of infected patients can cause bird flu. It enters humans through the eyes, nose and mouth. The H5N1 virus lives for 10 days in the feces and saliva of infected birds.
In India at present, cases of bird flu have been seen from Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala. In Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, where crows have died due to its infection, migratory birds in Himachal Pradesh and ducks in Kerala have become victims of it.

How to avoid Bird flu?
- Do not eat raw or undercooked eggs. You can boil eggs well or cook it well only then you can eat it. According to the WHO World Health Organization, cooking at 60-70 degree Celsius temperature will not cause infection of this virus.
- Avoid eating chicken or non-veg. If you want to eat chicken, then cook it completely and eat it. Avoid eating raw chicken. You can get infected by eating raw chicken.
- Avoid feeding grains to birds and pigeons. Stay away from infected birds to avoid bird flu.
- Do not go near dead birds at all.
- Do not go where there is a risk of infection. Must use a mask.
