PM Narendra Modi will go to XII BRICS Summit today by means of videoconferencing due to the Covid pandemic. The culmination will zero in on participation in counter-psychological warfare, exchange, wellbeing, energy, and approaches to balance the effect of the Covid pandemic.

India will be assuming control over the seat of the BRICS
The topic of the gathering during the current year is “BRICS Partnership for Global Stability, Shared Security and Innovative Growth.” It is known as a powerful alliance that speaks to over 3.6 billion individuals, or half of the total populace.
As per the news PTI, the BRICS nations have a consolidated GDP of USD 16.6 trillion. India will be assuming control over the BRICS Presidency for the third time.
“India will be assuming control over the seat of the BRICS, which would be the third BRICS Presidency for India since its beginning (after 2012 and 2016) and will have the thirteenth BRICS culmination in 2021,” the MEA said.
Prior in May, Russia had delayed the BRICS Summit in the midst of the pandemic. The Summit should occur in St Petersburg, alongside a gathering of the tops of the state board of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) during July 21-23.
